Twenty years young, still learning.
- 2006
Casual started with two friends in 2006.
- 2006
The first commission: 15 video diaries for Expedia, shot on the road from London to Mongolia in a 1987 Mini, with a camcorder, a laptop and a bit of nerve.
- 2014
In 2014 we worked out exactly what makes an excellent Casual employee, and condensed it to five values. We have hired, promoted and rewarded against them ever since.
- 2026
19,785 films since 2006, and counting. Today that is 700 to 1,000 projects a year, from eight studios in seven countries.
- 2026
Two decades on, the founding idea hasn’t changed. It’s amazing what you can do when you use the latest technology creatively and efficiently.
How it works
Most suppliers turn up for the brief and the shoot, then disappear. We handle it all, from strategy to distribution, and keep improving it as we go.
01Strategy
Storypulse™ reads your channels, rivals and audience, so the brief is built on data.
02Creative
A written treatment sets out the idea, the story and the look. Nothing is shot until you’re happy.
03Production, anywhere
In-house teams in eight offices in seven countries, and trusted local crews everywhere else.
04Distribution
We set the titles, tags and metadata, then post each film to the right people and channels.
05Measure & optimise
We track each film against your KPIs and keep improving it until it works. That’s the Casual Guarantee.
Covered, everywhere.
Eight offices in seven countries. In-house teams who know the audience, one team that picks up the phone. Working across time zones means 24-hour turnaround when a deadline needs it.
